Play Services Ireland can inspect your outdoor playgrounds to any schedule you wish but most of our clients prefer to carry out their own routine (daily or weekly) and operational (quarterly) inspections. In order to do this effectively, staff should be trained to the relevant level of competence as certificated by the Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII). Play Services Ireland provide this training to clients across Ireland under license from Rynat Ltd.
Our training services include:
- RPII Routine Inspection – a one-day course with RPII Registration designed for staff who look after playgrounds on a daily or weekly basis. The course is certified by OfQual
- RPII Operational Inspection – a two-day course with RPII Registration designed for those with greater responsibility who carry out quarterly inspections. The course is certified by OfQual
- BTEC Level 3 in Playground Inspections and Maintenance
Each registration is valid for a period of three years and registered inspectors are included on the RPIIs list of routine or operational inspectors here. (insert web link to RPII registered inspectors page)
Our training is delivered to groups with a maximum of ten participants, ensuring the right level of personal attention. Our courses are very practical in nature and are delivered by Mel Campbell, who spends as much time inspecting playgrounds as training others.
We have regularly scheduled training slots available throughout the year in various locations. Alternatively, we often deliver training at the client’s location. If you have three or four people that need to be trained please talk to us about the opportunity to organise a combined training programme with other organisations nearby.
